Sorley joined the firm in 2014 and has been practicing as a Solicitor for over 25 years. He started his career in Inverness where he handled all aspects of property law and litigation. For a number of years he specialised in Court work.
In recent years Sorley has been practicing on the Isle of Skye and Oban where his work has been more focused on residential and commercial conveyancing, crofting law and executry law and practice. His crofting work has included representing clients in the Scottish Land Court. He accordingly has a wide and varied practice and advises private clients including croft tenants and landowners.
In the course of his career Sorley has also advised a number of voluntary organisations and in recent years was a board member and chaired a renewables cooperative on Skye.
Sorley is extremely approachable and will undertake all aspects of legal work. He is happy to offer initial advice to prospective clients before receiving formal instructions to act.
